Rationale The examples below are what I chose demonstrate leadership in the classroom. The first example is my mentor teacher feedback forms assessing my work in the classroom. The second document presented is my syllabus and management plan based on a printmaking I class at the high school level. In this document I presented a mission statement describing the course, the materials that students would be working with and what I hope that they gain from the class. I want students and parents to feel that they are gaining not only vart skills but skills that can be applied in the real world and in other content areas. I want them to open their minds to creative possibilities and push themselves to explore further possibilities in art. Developing critical thinking, problem solving, reflection and asking questions are all important skills that art students need to develop and I as an educator want to help students gain these skills. The syllabus also includes assignments, objectives, classroom expectations, discipline, grading scale, accommodations/ differentiation and a rubric. I also included contact information so students know where they can reach me and that I am available and want to help students when they need me.
